Fox Set Dates For Six Mysterious Marvel Movies

20th Century Fox has a mixed bag of fortunes with their Marvel properties of late, they hit the jackpot with Deadpool, and Logan was a critical and commercial smash, but it’s X-Men films seem to be running out of steam and recycling plotlines (*cough* Dark Phoenix *cough*). Before yesterday their superhero development calendar seemed pretty sparse, but that has changed in the blink of an eye with a sudden influx of mysterious (and as yet untitled) release dates.

We already know about New Mutants (April 13, 2018), Deadpool 2 (June 1, 2018) and X-Men: Dark Phoenix (November 2, 2018), the studio has added a further six new entries to the one they’d already announced for February 14, 2019. That makes seven yet-to-be-announced Marvel movies over the next few years, and the possibilities boggle the mind.

Here’s the release dates:

– February 14, 2019

– June 7, 2019

– November 22, 2019

– March 13, 2020

– June 26, 2020

– October 2, 2020

– March 5, 2021Could we finally get that Gambit movie we’ve been promised? I’d say the long-developing feature is finally on the cards (pun intended). They’ve also more than likely got a date for Deadpool 3 (you just know it’s gonna happen), and for the rumoured X-Force movie. Chuck in a follow up to Dark Phoenix just for good measure, because you know that they’re never going to let their prize franchise die, as much as it probably should (or at least take a break).

The final three spots are anyone’s guess. Some possibilities could be the recently announced family-friendly Fantastic Four reboot, the planned Silver Surfer movie that died after Rise Of The Silver Surfer flopped, any number of X-Men character spin-offs or they could even go the Sinister Six route and develop a movie based around one of their best villains Dr Doom. Doom hasn’t been given the best run over at Fox, but if they can pull off Logan and Deadpool, anything is possible.

Who from the X-Men and Fantastic Four universes would you like to see grace the screens? Sound off in the comments below!
