SO, IS IT ANY GOOD?

We are an Australian-based review site dedicated to bringing you the latest news, reviews, and interviews from the movie universe.

We don’t offer a star rating, just a simple YES or NO followed by a quick punchy rant on why we loved, or hated, the film. We aren’t cynical, just easy to follow, like banter between mates at a BBQ. So don’t expect talk about angles or cinematography, we’re going to be blunt and straight to the point.

So, all that’s left for you to decide is… are we any good?

I've always needed to talk film, it's the way to my heart. I'm a movie dictionary, a nerd, a cosplayer and a collector. I'll happily watch anything once (even if its Glitter) and I know way too much trivia behind movies than any one man should know.

I'm a massive film and TV nerd, with a soft spot for stupid comedies and David Fincher movies. I love everything about the process of making movies, but I'm a busy dad, so watching them is a different story. I try and see everything I can, when my son isn't watching something by Pixar... Although there's nothing bad about that! Favourite Movies: Se7en, Ghostbusters, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, The Goonies, Shaun Of The Dead

Born in 84 and grew up in the best time for movies and pop culture in general, the 90's. Avid comic book collector and can quote more movies than I should. I'll watch anything once, from sappy romantic love stories to Bangkok Dangerous. Favourite Films: The Departed, The Crow and Armageddon

Once upon a time I was introduced to the world of cinema, and I've never looked back. Have explored the Well of Souls, fished off Amity Island, soared over Isla Nublar and touched down on LV-426. Favourite Films: Raider of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Back to the Future

I live and breathe film, from the latest Hollywood blockbusters to obscure low budget indies. I love cinema because its an escape from the everyday, and there's nothing quite like those precious few moments when the lights go down and the screen lights up. Favourite Movies: GoodFellas, The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club

Growing up in the 1980's was the decade of all decades, the greatest generation for toys, movies and pop culture, being spoiled as a kid with comics, collectables & a study filled to the brim with VHS tapes my path was already set. Today with a mancave of life-size busts, statues & props... I live and breath this culture. Favorite movies: The Lost Boys, Gremlins & The Goonies

Growing up, my old man would take myself and my brothers to the movies, it was an affordable outing for a not so wealthy family. Talking about the film on the way home was often as enjoyable as the film itself. Now, I'm a wannabe filmmaker. Favourite movies: Goodfellas, Back to the Future, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance. Favourite Directors: Martin Scorcese, Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan.

Had a love of movies for as long as I can remember. Enjoy all genres and try to see most everything that comes to the cinema (including the ones I know will be a painful experience). Favourite movies: Trainspotting, Star Wars, Jaws

Movies are the most powerful and most influential art form, ever. Movies are expansive, evocative, inspiring and universal. The feeling you get when seeing one can stay with you for the rest of your life, and become an addiction. Give me a bag of Malteasers, any movie under the sun, and I'm in heaven! Favourite Films: Blade Runner, The Empire Strikes Back, The Thing (1982)

Elise is a Sydney-based journalist who wasn't allowed to watch any M-rated films until she was 15 (with the exception of Monty Python, thanks dad) so has devoted her adult life to making up for lost pop-culture time. Favourite movies: Wonder Woman, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

For as long as I can remember there was nothing that captivated my attention like a film, it didn’t even have to be a good one. In fact the crazier the better. Films like Evil Dead, Killer Clowns from Outer Space, anything that came out of Lloyd Kaufman's depraved mind, mad stories that no matter how far into the suspension of disbelief you can get yourself, you still couldn’t possibly believe what you are seeing. However, my favourite film would have to be Billy Wilder's Some Like It Hot, in my opinion, the greatest situational comedy of all time.

I've been obsessed with film since I can remember; actually, that might be wrong, it may have started with my first theatrical experience witnessing Jurassic Park when I was 5. Dinosaurs still rule. Outside of film I love going to gigs and visiting new places! Favorite films: Alien, Jaws, Into the Wild

I love movies because they are an escape from reality. They put you on an emotional rollercoaster, make you feel love for a character that you’d usually hate and make you hate a character that you’d usually love. Favourite films: Heart And Souls, Jack, Falling In Love.

A cinephile who is a massive nerd. From Sci-fi to Drama, films to graphic novels, if it is a good story I must experience it. My grandfather had a love of Westerns and comedies. I have tried to build a vast knowledge of film as any amazing story on celluloid out there is one I want to experience. Favourite movies: The Godfather, No Country For Old Men, Inglorious Basterds.

I love everything about movies. To me they aren't just a means of escape; they're an experience, an education and an investment. I have a particular fascination with superhero movies but I appreciate all genre, in particular; dark thrillers with a bit of a sexy twist. Favourite movies: Fight Club, Secret Window, Whiplash

There is nothing like being captivated by an over the top blockbuster or lost in an emotional whirlwind of a strong drama. Movies create worlds that make us feel a like we belong, connecting and challenging us to think in ways we cannot always envision in real life. A cheeky popcorn and choc top help of course. Favourite movies: Scarface, The Empire Strikes Back, Waynes World
