‘The Lego Batman Movie’ Trailer Introduces Michael Cera’s Robin

With an onslaught of trailers for somewhat “serious” films coming thick and fast today, its refreshing to get a dose of fun out of Comic-Con, and Warner Bros. have delivered just that with a new full length trailer for The Lego Batman Movie.

Check it out above!the_lego_batman_movie_-_batcave_teaser_trailer_screen_shot_-h_2016Although we were already given a taste of Will Arnett’s bricked crusader in previous trailers, this new Comic-Con exclusive delivers our first proper look at Michael Cera’s Robin, and it appears this may be the role he was born to play (or should that be voice?). Cera’s additon complements an already strong comedic cast that also includes Zach Galifianakis as The Joker and Ralph Fiennes as Alfred.

A world away from the doom and gloom of DC’s live action instalments, this looks to be more of the same silly humour we saw in The Lego Movie, and with Arnett’s Batman being the best thing about that movie, all signs point to a hilarious ninety minutes of animation that should please both comedy and comic book fans alike.

The Lego Batman Movie opens in Australian cinemas on February 9, 2017
