Warner Bros has given us, not just a taste, but a tasty buffet of first looks at their epic Man Of Steel sequel-slash-Justice League setup Batman vs. Superman – Dawn Of Justice.
Superhero Hype was on the ground at the 2015 Licensing Expo, where the studio had a massive floor display with none other than the new Batmobile front and centre!
The new iteration definitely takes it’s cues from the Nolan Dark Knight franchise (dark and gritty), but it has a more traditional Batman shape than the Tumbler did.
As an added bonus, they’ve also unveiled the costumes for Henry Cavill’s Superman, Ben Affleck’s Batman and our first look at the costume for Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, the character (finally) making her film debut.
I wasn’t the biggest fan of Man Of Steel, or really Superman as a character, but I’m digging the vibe of the new Batmobile and the costumes look slick (the Batman costume has a definite Arkham Asylum feel to it). With all the added characters and a Justice League movie on the horizon, Warner Bros definitely has my money already.
As the cherry on this sundae of awesome, Warner Bros has released a new synopsis for the film as well:
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), and Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman). The film also stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), with Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White) and Diane Lane (Martha Kent) returning from Man of Steel, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film. Jason Momoa will also be making an appearance as Aquaman.
BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE opens worldwide on March 26, 2016.
