After three disappointing solo outings and a somewhat watered down portrayal in other X-Men outings, Wolverine is back for one more stab in the claws.
So, is it any good?
Logan is not only a great comic book film, its a great film period. Hugh Jackman gives the performance of his career, and shows interesting new shades in a character he first seventeen years ago. He’s ably supported by an Oscar worthy Patrick Stewart and impressive newcomer Dafne Keen as X-23. The film is bold, brutal and at times emotional; but most importantly of all, it finally gives the character of Wolverine the send off he deserves.
