Kong is back, ladies and gentlemen. After a brief first look a few months ago, Warner Bros has dropped the first trailer for Kong: Skull Island. This new vision of the Kong mythology sees a team of explorers and Vietnam-era military types venture to Skull Island, and into the homeland of the mighty ape. The film is brought to us by director Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kings of Summer) and stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, John Goodman and Samuel L Jackson. Check out the trailer in the header above!
Minigun on a Triceratops skull? I’m in. I’m loving the look of this so far, and Kong is absolutely massive, bigger than we’ve ever seen him. Vogt-Roberts recently went on record stating:
“This is going to be the biggest Kong there’s ever been. Not 10 foot or 30 foot, but a 100-foot ape.”
With a planned Godzilla crossover in the works, the size allows Kong to put up a fair fight! Check out Kong in action when Kong: Skull Island his Australian cinemas March 9th 2017.
