How’d They Do That? – Jurassic Park

In celebration of the release of Jurassic World, let’s take a look back at where it all started and ask “How’d they do that?” about the dino-sized hit Jurassic Park.

Steven Spielberg‘s 1993 hit completely changed the visual effects game. Whilst it’s widely remembered as one of the first films to have complete CG characters, it’s the work of Stan Winston and his crew at Stan Winston Studios that still blows me away. I was the perfect age (7) when Jurassic Park came out – and I fondly remember being both in awe and terrified of these animals!

The Stan Winston School was created after Stan’s passing and continues to be a great source of ‘how-to’ videos. Over the last few years, they’ve released a lot of great behind the scenes looks at some of their amazing portfolio of work. Below is a set of videos regarding the creation of these amazing creatures for Jurassic Park.

JURASSIC WORLD is in cinemas from June 11!
