Sony Pictures has just unleashed the first official trailer for the remake of Ghostbusters and it doesn’t look as awful as everyone thought

Ghostbusters makes its long-awaited return, rebooted with a cast of hilarious new characters. Thirty years after the beloved original franchise took the world by storm, director Paul Feig brings his fresh take to the supernatural comedy, joined by some of the funniest actors working today – Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. This summer, they’re here to save the world!
A new team? Does this mean that the original guys exist in this remake? No, probably not, but at least they are acknowledging them. I’m digging what I’m seeing here, they have the funny part down (well except maybe the “the power of pain compels you” line) and the updated visual effects are set to stun.
Yeap that’s Slimer! Give me more of this sort of stuff, the weird and odd looking ghosts! They are heading down the right track with this trailer and if the movie is as good as this makes it look, then a lot of Ghostbusters nay-sayers are going to be eating their words.
