Literally.
During their press duties for Life, Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were pitched an idea on how Deadpool and Hugh Jackman could share some screen time, cast Hugh Jackman as…Hugh Jackman.
Rhett Reese was very fond of the idea and went on to say.
“Oh my gosh, that’s one we haven’t heard. That’s not a bad idea. I like that. Deadpool lives in a world where Hugh Jackman is out there. He’s got the People’s Sexiest Man Alive cover that he staples to his forehead in the first movie, so maybe he could meet Hugh as Hugh. That would be really funny.”
With Logan now dead in the film universe its anyone’s guess on how or when they will bring back Wolverine.
