With every Superbowl, comes great…trailers. Every year, we await new trailers from the years biggest movies during the biggest football event of the year. It seems every year it becomes less relevant to even watch the game as the trailers are released online immediately after they air, or in some cases (like now) they are released prior to the game. While I’m sure there will be a few more new exciting trailers to share before the day ends, here is a new 42 second TV spot for the new Captain American: Civil War.
With a much clearer view on who’s fighting for who, and a closer look at new heroes like Black Panther, it seems this civil war is shaping up to be the event of the year. Marvel has been slowly escalating to this point, but one has to wonder, will they end up banding together against a greater evil? (Batman V Superman anyone?).
With the Infinity War just around the corner, and the immanent arrival of Thanos, should we assume this Civil War will clear out and finish up a few story lines to make way for upcoming movies? Who will survive? Will they really kill off some of our favourite and most loved characters? Time will tell, but in a world where we know actors contracts and movie release dates years in advance, it does take a little bit of the fun out of it.
