Director’s Homes – Art of Movies

I imagine that most film Directors live in flash Hollywood mansions with swimming pools filled with cash. Someone with more imagination than me is Italian Artist Federico Babina who has created illustrations of where he thinks the Hollywood big guns live.   In his collection titled ‘Archidirector’ he’s taken elements and themes from each Director and incorporated them into each picture.  At first glance they may seem simple but on closer inspection you can see some great subtitle nods to their directing style and their movies.  Here’s what he has to say about his work:

“The architecture is like a scene from a movie where the story is the life, the script is dictated by the use of the building and where the actors are the residents. A labyrinth where all – characters, director, audience –are lost and found in the intensity of their emotions,”
