With so much grabbing for your attention and dollars these days, it’s easy to miss when the latest releases are heading to a cinema near you. So come back every week as we here at So, Is It Any Good? preview the new movies hitting screens.
This weekend, prepare to get shaken and stirred, as the 24th Bond feature Spectre takes over theatres. All other movies have wisely stepped out of the way.
Spectre
Starring: Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz & Ralph Fiennes
Synopsis: A cryptic message from the past sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE.

Why you should be interested: It’s Bond people! You know already if you’re interested, so any amount of me waffling on isn’t going to change your mind. Continuing the narrative from Skyfall, and attempting to wrap up Craig’s tenure as Bond into a (supposedly) final chapter will be no mean feat, but with Sam Mendes returning to the director’s chair, and Christoph Waltz making bad look oh so good, I’m quietly confident that this will be a winner.
Who should see it: 00-Everyone
