The Web-head Has Swung Into The MCU In The First Trailer For ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

Marvel Studios (man it’s very cool to write that) and Sony Pictures have just unleashed the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, the first official film for the web-head in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Here’s the official synopsis:

A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming.  Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.

There is a lot to love here! Particularly all that bank robbery stuff at the start of the trailer, his banter was hilarious which is very web-head of him. Tom Holland is killing it as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man which I think that the 2 previous Spider-Men (Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield) didn’t tackle as well. Maguire was an amazing Parker and Garfield nailed Spider-Man but both lacked the ability to convey both.capture1I hope that this film does well, I would love to see a set of Spider-Man films that completely work and set the character in a good direction and not towards the reboot train. This is our 3rd incarnation of the friendly neighbourhood web slinger and we don’t need a 4th anytime soon.captureSpider-Man: Homecoming is continuing an amazing trend of recurring characters from the MCU. Iron Man will work well as the father figure to Peter Parker, they are very like-minded and the banter between the pair will be hilarious. Only to be topped when he meets Bruce Banner.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING swings into cinemas July 6, 2017 (AUS) and July 7, 2017 (US)

Bonus Feature:

The trailer was shown on Jimmy Kimmel and Tom Holland made a great entrance along with 200 hundred other costumed Spider-Men. Check it out below!
