Foreign Minister Julie Bishop and the Minister for Communications and the Arts, Mitch Fifield have announced in a press conference today that the next Thor and Alien movies will be filmed right here in Australia in 2016.
“Attracting these two blockbuster films cements Australia’s place as one of the world’s best filming locations,” said Fifield. “Australian crews and actors will also gain the skills and experience to further strengthen our capacity to produce high-quality films for Australian and international audiences.”
It’s thought that the two films combined will cost about $475 million dollarydoos and create 3000 new jobs.
