The Secret Life Of Pets – New Trailer

Universal just dropped the 2nd trailer for their next hit in the Illumination Animated Studios line up, The Secret Life of Pets. I’m not too sure about this one, Universal’s marketing seems a little off.

ZHonestly, Max’s face sums up my opinion of that trailer. I have no idea where this movie is going. The teasers showed off what pets did while their owners were away, the first trailer was all about a bunny that was seemingly the main character and didn’t fit in at all with the teasers. Now this second trailer is all about Max, “the luckiest dog in New York”. My issue isn’t with this particular trailer, as it mixes what happened in the teasers with a story line, makes sense…. I’m just wondering what the hell was with that first trailer? That’s some wacky marketing right there.

Here’s the official synopsis:

For their fifth fully-animated feature film collaboration, Illumination Entertainment and Universal Pictures present The Secret Life of Pets, a comedy about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day.

Comedy superstars Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart make their animated feature-film debuts in The Secret Life of Pets, which co-stars Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress and Albert Brooks. Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and his longtime collaborator Janet Healy produce the film directed by Chris Renaud (Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2), co-directed by Yarrow Cheney and written by Brian Lynch and Cinco Paul & Ken Daurio.

THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS opens in Australian cinemas on September 8, 2016.
