So Good News: Star Wars, The Mummy, Green Lantern

The world of movie news moves at lightspeed some days, so it’s hard to keep up with everything (even for those of us that run an entertainment blog). So welcome to your daily news briefing here at So, Is It Any Good? where we round up the breaking stories you might have missed.

Don’t Stay Till The End

According to director Alex Kurtzman, there’ll be no end credits scene after The Mummy reboot. Rumour Mill

There’s talk that Sony‘s in-development Black & Silver movie, featuring the characters Black Cat and Silver Sable, could set up an all female Spider-man spin-off. As Wonder Woman showed this weekend, girls rule, so Sony is smart to jump on that bandwagon.

Does the new DC intro on the front of Wonder Woman point to a Green Lantern appearance in Justice League? The evidence seems a bit thin, but it’d be a hell of a reveal if they successfully kept that quiet!

Back For More

20 years later, Paul Verhoeven‘s military satire/sci-fi actioner Starship Troopers is getting a sequel… and it’s animated. Original stars Casper Van Dien and Dina Meyer are reprising their roles for Starship Troopers: Traitors Of Mars. Check out the trailer:

Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow sounds like he’s a fan of J.A Bayona’s sequel, calling it “better than that first one”.
