Relive Your Childhood With The New ‘Power Rangers’ Trailer!

It’s Morphin Time! With Power Rangers hitting theatres in just a couple of months, Lionsgate has dropped a longer look at their rebooted franchise with a new trailer. Check it out on by clicking the play button in the header above! So what did you think? At the end of the day, Power Rangers is a pretty silly franchise, but I’m liking the production design and scale of this film. The trailer featured our first real look at Bryan Cranston as Zordon, and Bill Hader voicing Alpha 5. We also got a few small glimpses at the Putty Warriors and the Ranger’s Zords. All in all, if you were a fan of the Power Rangers back in the mid 90’s, there’s probably a lot here that you will get a kick out of.

(Is it me… or have they just recreated the pilot. The big Goldar at the end seems awfully familiar…)Here’s the official synopsis:

SABAN’S POWER RANGERS follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

Power Rangers is directed by Dean Israelite, and stars Dacre Montgomery, Naomi Scott, Becky G, Ludi Lin, RJ Cyler, with Bryan Crantson, Elizabeth Banks and Bill Hader.

POWER RANGERS hits Australian cinemas March 23.

Bonus Feature:
Relive your childhood with the trailer for 1995’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie. Sydneysiders should give this flick a rewatch – the opening ‘rollerblading through Sydney’ sequence has the Rangers jumping all over the city and is hilariously 90’s.
