Get yourself primed for the new Terminator film with a humorous look back at James Cameron’s blockbuster sequel from 1991.

I loved Terminator 2: Judgment Day when I first saw it as a kid, it was one of the first DVDs I ever bought and is still one of the best sequels ever made, but having watched the film again in the cinema only last weekend, there are a number of things this trailer points out which I tend to agree with.

The first and most obvious one is the screwed up timeline, and hey, it does fall apart if you think about it too much, but on the other hand, the idea of Arnie being the good guy in this movie and facing off against another stronger Terminator is pretty genius, so we should all be willing to forgive any gaps in Skynet’s logic. The other is Edward Furlong, who I didn’t have a problem with when I was a kid, but now I find kind of annoying in the film. I think it’s the whole squeaky ‘on the verge of puberty’ voice he’s got going on throughout. The third and final gripe is to do with the franchise itself, and the question of whether or not this story needed to continue after the events of T2. Whilst I do wish the non-James Cameron sequels had been better, I am hopeful that Terminator Genisys will be a fun enough ride that we can essentially erase the memory of T3 and T4 forever, without having to travel back in time.
