With Life on our doorstep, 20th Century Fox have released a timely reminder through their Alien twitter channel that Alien: Covenant is around the corner and it looks like it’s gonna be all kinds of hell for our Engineer pals from Prometheus. In a depiction the late, great H.R Giger would have been proud of we get a noir-tinged one-sheet mixing the classic creatures of Alien with the former poster-boy of Prometheus in a huddle-up you don’t wanna be a part of.
And is it just me or does the very top of the poster look like the Queen Alien’s crest to you? We’ll have to wait and see whether James Cameron‘s ultimate big bad mother makes an appearance!
The official synopsis reads:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members (Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup) of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival.
ALIEN: COVENANT releases May 19th in Australian theatres but expect a review much sooner here at So Is It Any Good?
