During the press junket for Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Director James Gunn confirmed what many fans have speculated since Guardians Of The Galaxy first opened in 2014. Adam Warlock is coming to the MCU.

In and exclusive interview with /Film, James Gunn stated that Adam Warlock was going to be included in GOTG Vol. 2, even going so far as to include him in his initial first treatment for the film. James Gunn went on to say,

I love Adam Warlock. He’s one of my favourite characters. In all truth, I wrote an early treatment where I had Adam Warlock as a part. He was a big part of the screenplay and I realized it was one character too many, I didn’t want to loose Mantis, and Mantis was more organically part of the movie anyway. So I decided to save him for later.

It has been confirmed that Warlock will not take part in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, he will no doubt be part of Marvels Phase 4, most likely starting with Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3.
