James Franco Inspires In ‘The Disaster Artist’ Trailer

“It’s not going to happen for you – not in a MILLION years”.

But after that?” replies James Franco with 101% sincerity, portraying Tommy Wiseau in this adaptation of Greg Sestero‘s book of the same name, which chronicles the making of the cult classic film The Room. If you’re not aware of The Room it’s infamously referred to as “The greatest bad movie ever made”. Franco is almost unrecognisable yet totally recognisable as Wiseau, if that’s at all possible, and really captures the essence of a role which requires delicate touches of charisma, charm and “oh hi, Mark”.

From such creative minds as James Franco, Dave Franco and Seth Rogen, everything so far from The Disaster Artist suggests it’s going to be the funniest film of the year with a huge injection of endearment at its core. With a few months to wait until the December release date, you have every reason to pick up a copy of Greg Sestero’s book or watch the 2003 movie. The world would be a duller place without Tommy Wiseau’s eccentricity, that’s for sure.
