20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios have just dropped the second trailer for ‘Ice Age: Collision Course‘ the fifth film in the Ice Age franchise.

Here’s the official synopsis

Scrat’s epic pursuit of his elusive acorn catapults him outside of Earth, where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the planet. To save themselves from peril, Manny, Sid, Diego, and the rest of the herd leave their home and embark on a quest full of thrills and spills, highs and lows, laughter and adventure while traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters as well as a new enemy who is a brother to one of their old foes.

One small step for the Ice Age franchise, one giant leap back for Animated Films. I guess someone has to keep Ray Ramano from living on the streets

This looks god awful, not Gods of Egypt awful but like the bargain bin rip off Disney films bad… you know the ones I’m talking about. Does anyone even like this franchise? It was a good concept to begin with, but they are clearly out of ideas. If they make another film I’m putting money on a space adventure to find a new planet or home. (I hope Blue Sky doesn’t actually read this, I’m giving them too many ideas)

I wish John Oliver would do a ‘How Is This Still A Thing?’ for Ice Age. That’s something I would pay money to watch.

ICE AGE: COLLISION COURSE opens July 14 in Australia
