So Good News: Black Panther, The Batman, Disney Expo

The world of movie news moves at lightspeed some days, so it’s hard to keep up with everything (even for those of us that run an entertainment website). So welcome to today’s news briefing here at So, Is It Any Good? where we round up the breaking stories you might have missed.

New Black Panther Images

Entertainment Weekly got the chance to photograph the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther, showing us some pretty awesome stills and character breakdowns. Chadwick Boseman looks awesome as T’Challa and this makes us all the more excited to see the movie.

The Batman Starts Over

Holy script drama Batman! Director Matt Reeves announced that they were starting over with The Batman script and Ben Affleck’s script won’t be used anymore. Have we gotten enough use out of this image yet? One more can’t hurt.

David Ayer Exits ‘Scarface’ Reboot

Suicide Squad director David Ayer is no longer attached to the Scarface reboot from Universal. Some claim scheduling conflicts while others say his script was “too dark”. How is a script about a drug lord too dark? You’ve got me. Maybe they wanted a more likable despicable drug lord?

A Wrinkle In Time

More images from EW showing off our first look at A Wrinkle In Time, an adaptation of the novel to be directed by Ava DuVernay. Expect a trailer for this one this weekend at D23 Disney Expo.

D23 Expo

Not so much news but more of a friendly reminder that D23 is set to kick off this weekend in Anaheim. The Disney expo is sure to bring a lot of news on all things Star Wars and Marvel and a hell of a lot more, so make sure you stay tuned for the latest news coming out of D23.

That’s it for this edition of So Good News – you’re all caught up! Don’t forget to keep coming back to So, Is It Any Good for all your movie news, reviews and general shenanigans. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter!
