F’s And C’s In The Trailer For ‘THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI’

It’s rare these days to stumble across a film I knew nothing about, but Fox Searchlight has suprised me and has dropped a trailer for THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI. No idea why the title is all in caps, but check out the trailer above  – I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. (Just make sure no kids are around, its a bit language heavy!)THREE BILLBOARDS comes from Martin McDonagh, director of the brilliant In Bruges, and this one seems very similar in tone – darkly comic! A foul-mouthed Francis McDormand who drills small holes in dentists. If McDormand can top the little drive by she does at the end of the trailer – I’ll be shocked! Rounding out the cast are Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell and Peter Dinklage  – all in all, this looks like it could be a pretty entertaining film!

Check out the official synopsis and poster below:

THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI is a darkly comic drama from Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh (IN BRUGES). After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter’s murder case, Mildred Hayes (Academy Award winner Frances McDormand) makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at William Willoughby (Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson), the town’s revered chief of police. When his second-in-command Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), an immature mother’s boy with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing’s law enforcement is only exacerbated.

No release date has been confirmed, but expect to see THREE BILLBOARDS OUTSIDE EBBING, MISSOURI hit screens later this year!
