FANTASTIC FOUR DIRECTOR DENIES ALL ACCOUNTABILITY FOR FILM’S SUCKAGE

Flame (suit) on Fox! In a tweet that was deleted soon after it was posted, Fantastic Four director, Josh Trank has denied all accountability for the trainwreck that is his own movie.

Tweeted just after the film’s release to horrible reviews, without actually naming anyone, it alludes to studio interference in the final cut of the film, which if you haven’t heard (you can find our review here), was lousy at best. Rumours were rife that not everything was all sunshine and lollipops on the Fantastic Four set but they were vehemently denied several times. With it’s disjointed feel and weird lead up to pay off ratio, the film reeks of studio interference, but until now, we’ve had nothing to suggest that Trank wasn’t at the helm for the entire project.

With Trank now having had issues with both Fox and Lucasfilm/Disney, we’re pretty happy that he made “a personal decision to move forward on a different path”, rather than staying with the unnamed Starwars anthology film he was developing. Time will tell what this means for his career! Let us know what you think of this new development in the comments below.
