Chris Hemsworth: “It’s Illegal For Marvel Actors To Appear In DC Movies”

Chris Hemsworth appeared at Australian convention Supanova over the weekend and gave some insight into what is in a Marvel contract. According to twitter user Tyler James, Hemsworth said during his panel that it is “Illegal” for actors who have a contract with Marvel/Disney to appear in any DC roles.

While it is not known in what context Hemsworth used the term “illegal”, it does however seem to contradict what Marvel boss Kevin Feige has said in the past.

We don’t have anything written into our contracts about other roles that people can do. Indiana Jones and Han Solo are the same person and it hasn’t been a problem. And i think Thanos and Cable are two very different characters.

Marvel and Warner Bros. are both fierce rivals when it comes to their films. As much as we all love it when actors/directors tweet and congratulate each other on their respective films, at the end of the day money talks.

What do you think about actors being “locked in” to contracts, limiting their work and career?
