Behind The Scenes – Spider-Man: Homecoming

Swinging into cinemas tomorrow is the latest addition to the MCU from Marvel and Sony, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Anticipation for the film is extremely high as everyone’s favourite web-slinger is back in his first solo outing since the underwhelming The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Sony Pictures Entertainment and IMDB have released two behind the scenes videos to whet your appetite further.

The first clip focuses on the Vulture, played by Michael Keaton. No stranger to superhero roles, it will be intriguing to see Keaton’s ability to turn a rather simplistic villain into a technological and menacing threat.

Few villains have had the impact that Loki has had in the MCU. If anyone has the skills to make a good villain it’s Keaton. It seems unlikely that this movie would signal the only appearance of the Vulture, given the calibre of actor playing him.

The second clip is a more straight-forward behind the scenes look:

Tom Holland certainly fits the bill of Spider-Man, at an age suited to the high school Peter Parker, as opposed to an actor in their 30’s. His small role in Captain America: Civil War certainly didn’t disappoint and he appears to be able to hold the weight of the role on his shoulders with the aid of a strong supporting cast. One could say this Spidey is made of Iron.
