Usually in our Art of Movies feature we showcase artists who’ve merged the world of film and art in interesting ways. This week the world of film meets the real world in ‘2D Among Us’, a collection of movie icons superimposed into our reality, more specifically, Russian reality. Nothing cheers up a run down Russian cityscape like an AT-AT.
What makes this collection even more interesting is that it’s not just the work of one person but a group of likeminded people sharing their work in an online community. The curators of the website describe it as:
“our favourite characters come to life, facing the sadness of reality.”
