2016 has been a year of loss, far too many have been taken. This morning brought the shocking and tragic news that Anton Yelchin had lost his life in a bizarre and tragic accident.
Anton Yelchin was a character actor and a great one at that, with his most notable roles being Chekov from the rebooted Star Trek franchise and Charlie Brewster in the remake of Fright Night. He rose to fame in Alpha Dog and was immediately cast in Star Trek, from there he starred in Terminator Salvation, Odd Thomas, The Beaver, Burying the Ex and The Green Room
Yelchin was loved among his cast mates.

I loved Anton Yelchin so much. He was a true artist – curious, beautiful, courageous. He was a great pal and a great son. I’m in ruins.

Still in shock. Rest in peace, Anton. Your passion and enthusiasm will live on with everyone that had the pleasure of knowing you.

While Anton Yelchin has been taken away from us, we can still get excited about all the films he has completed that have yet to be released, such as Rememory, Thoroughbred, Porto, We Don’t Belong Here, and this year’s Star Trek Beyond.
If you’re looking to check out some of his films to remember this great actor, I highly recommend Odd Thomas or Star Trek.
