Amy Schumer Goes On The Holiday From Hell In The New Trailer For ‘Snatched’

20th Century Fox has released a new look at their Amy SchumerGoldie Hawn comedy Snatched. Take a look by hitting the play button above!

Here’s the official synopsis:

After her boyfriend dumps her on the eve of their exotic vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her ultra-cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn) to travel with her to paradise. Polar opposites, Emily and Linda realize that working through their differences as mother and daughter – in unpredictable, hilarious fashion – is the only way to escape the wildly outrageous jungle adventure they have fallen into.

The mother/daughter dynamic is a well-worn path in movies, but this pushes that relationship to the extreme with amusing results. The trailer isn’t out and out funny, but I’m a fan of Schumer’s and Trainwreck was a great surprise when it landed in 2015, so I’ll follow wherever she’s headed.

It’s also great to see Goldie Hawn back on screen again, for the first time since 2002’s The Banger Sisters. She’s a comedy legend, and can basically do this kind of fish-out-of-water story in her sleep, so it’ll be interesting to see if she’s still got it.

Written by Ghostbusters and The Heat scribe Katie Dippold, and directed by Jonathan Levine (50/50The Night Before), this could be a nice little comedy package arriving just in time for Mother’s Day.

SNATCHED escapes into theatres May 11, 2017.
