TRANSFORMERS 5 BECOMES TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT

Big news for fans of Michael Bay‘s Transformers series (the 3 of you that are left). Paramount have announced that the latest Transformers film starts production next month and as such they’ve dropped the title for the new film:

TF-lastknight

They also dropped a small teaser for the film below:

The film is scheduled for release in just 12 months time, making this an incredibly fast turn around for a film that will undoubtedly feature heavy visual effects.

Bay returns behind the camera for the 5th time, along with Transformers: Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg. Joining him are newcomers to the franchise Isabela Moner and Jarrod Carmichael. It was also announced today that series regular, Josh Duhamel will be reprising his role from the first 3 films as Lt Col Lennox.

Whilst the last film in the franchise was critically panned, Age of Extinction earned an incredible $1,104,054,072 (with a massive 800 million of that being from the international box office), which I’m sure was more than enough to convince the studio to do it all again.

TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT transforms and rolls out into Australian cinemas June 22, 2017
