Christmas came early this year. A few days ahead of its scheduled release, the first trailer for Jurassic World has been unleashed.
I’ve been waiting for this moment ever since the credits rolled on Jurassic park 3… but that is a discussion for another time, as we have more urgent matters to attend to.
HERE IT IS.
A fully operational park, Chris Pratt, and a new genetically engineered dinosaur…what could go wrong?
SO, there you have it.
Now, I’m sure a lot of people are thinking, “Sure it looks great, but we all know what’s going to happen”.
But I, for one, have a feeling that we’re in for a few surprises, much more than just an updated version of the original where all the good guys (and girls) survive.
I’m confident we will see a ‘happy ending’ of some sort because we still have good guy Spielberg producing it, but if this movie expects to contend with the current world of cinema, one would hope the writers have given the idea of a facelift and we see some heart wrenching moments (will we finally see annoying kids eaten by a T-Rex?)
I guess only time will tell, but I’m hoping with the current state of big budget movies that Universal allows this reasonably new team of writers/directors to break some of the rules and make an unpredictable and awesome movie about dinosaurs scaring the shit out of people.
