GREEN ROOM – RED BAND TRAILER

After giving us the first teaser trailer a few weeks ago, A24 Films have unleashed a new Red Band trailer for the grizzly revenge flick, Green Room.

Green Room is the second film from indie filmmaker Jeremey Saulnier, who gained attention back in 2014 with the self financed, self shot Blue Ruin (If you haven’t seen the film, it’s well worth checking out). This time round, Saulnier may have a different colour in the title, but he seems to be dealing with many of the same themes: murder, revenge, and moral shades of grey. Oh, and a little bit of  Neo-Nazism thrown in for good measure.
green-room-movieI love the central premise of a band being terrorised by a gang of Neo-Nazis in the middle of the woods, but what I’m excited for most is seeing Patrick Stewart playing the leader of said gang. The thespian appears to have relished the opportunity to play a bad guy, and who doesn’t want to see Professor X go all American History X?

Here is the synopsis for the film…

A band straying into a secluded part of the Pacific Northwest, stumbles on to a horrific act of violence. Because they are the only witnesses, they become the targets of a terrifying gang of white power skinheads who want to make sure all the evidence is eliminated.

GREEN ROOM is yet to receive an official release date in Australia. Which means audiences will most likely be forced to hassle local distributors for the right to see it at the cinema.
